Paramount Care Aberdeen recruit in line with Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services recruitment guidelines. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of our service users. Vetting includes positive reference checks from previous employers as well as Protection of Vulnerable Groups’ membership through Disclosure Scotland.

Our care worker training

Although experience is preferred, this is not essential, as full training will be provided. We offer extensive training including a comprehensive induction with both theory and practical elements as well as mandatory online training courses to ensure our care workers have the skills and confidence to provide a high standard of care to our service users. New candidates also shadow experienced care workers in the community. 

Training updates and ongoing development is provided to ensure our care workers are competent in their roles.

We are happy to have supported many of our staff in achieving there SVQ qualifications as part of the mandatory development to remain registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.

Prerequisites

There is a requirement to register with the Scottish Social Services Council is essential.

There is a requirement to register with Disclosure Scotland for the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Membership

 

SVQ 2 or 3 is preferable but not essential. Many of our staff have achieved an SVQ during their employment and we are proud to have supported them to do so.
